Question 1

What is Divelance?

Accepted Answer

Divelance is staffing and scheduling software for the dive industry. It connects dive professionals with the dive centers, resorts, boats and agencies that book them: shared availability calendars and bookings, team rosters and urgent cover, jobs and hiring, verified work history, and chat. Businesses book divers for courses with their customers, and divers accept the booking, or not.

Question 2

Who can join?

Accepted Answer

Divers certified at Scuba Diver level (PADI, or its equivalent with another agency) or above, technical divers, dive centers and resorts (including dive boats if you operate them but not a dive center), and agents or agencies that recruit dive staff. You must be 18 or older.

Question 3

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Divelance is free during our launch. Paid plans will start later, and the prices are already on the Pricing page. Every account type has a Free plan.

Question 4

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Better than that: every plan is free during our launch, with no card needed. New accounts start on Pro, and you can switch to Max or Free whenever you like. We’ll give at least 3 months’ notice by email before the launch ends. After the launch, new divers and individuals get 6 months of Pro free, and agencies and dive centers can try Pro free for 3 months.

Question 5

Can I be a diver and a dive center at the same time?

Accepted Answer

No. You choose your account type when you sign up: diver, agency, or dive center / resort. It can’t be changed later. If you want to use Divelance in more than one way, for example as a diver and as an agent, create a separate account with a different email address for each.

Question 6

Why are agencies and dive centers verified?

Accepted Answer

To protect divers. Agencies and dive centers can publish up to 5 jobs straight away, marked Unverified, but they can see divers’ names and photos and contact them only once verified. Verification comes with Pro and Max, and most checks are automatic.

Question 7

How are divers verified?

Accepted Answer

By the businesses they worked for, not by paperwork sent to us. A diver is verified once a verified dive center or agency confirms they worked there (a reference), or once they have completed a booking with one through Divelance.

Question 8

How do I install Divelance on my phone?

Accepted Answer

On iPhone, open Divelance in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap “Install app” when prompted, or use the browser menu. Installing lets you receive message notifications.

Question 9

Is Divelance in the App Store or Google Play?

Accepted Answer

No. Divelance is a web app that installs from the browser to your home screen, and works like an app, with notifications. There’s nothing to download from a store, and updates arrive by themselves.

Question 10

How do I log in?

Accepted Answer

With a 6-digit code sent to your email. There are no passwords, and you stay logged in until you log out.

Question 11

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Your data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany, within the European Union. Some activity is kept for a limited time to help us investigate abuse.

Question 12

Do I get anything for inviting people?

Accepted Answer

Divers and individuals do. When someone you invited pays for a plan, you get free months on your own paid plan: 1 month for each diver or individual, and 2 months for each paid and verified business. A diver or individual who joins with your link gets 1 month too, once they’re on a paid plan. Credits are free months, never money.

Question 13

Does Divelance use cookies?

Accepted Answer

This website uses no cookies and no local storage. The app uses only essential cookies and local storage, to keep you logged in, remember your settings and protect accounts against abuse. Neither uses advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Question 14

How do I contact the Divelance team?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form and choose the topic that fits best. To report abuse, choose “Report abuse” so it reaches the right person quickly.
